I went on vacation for 3 weeks and when I got back one of my Electus parrots (male) had mutilated his wing feathers. I started giving him a shower once a week and rubing in coconut oil hoping he will let his feathers grow back. 3 months later his feathers are growing and he is not eating and pulling them out. The other birds like it too.

Just found this blog, this is great! I continually find uses with coconut oil. Not only for personal use/cooking but it is great to clean your car. The dashes shine like new and leaves a subtle aroma of the tropics. And my dog loves it!
