I urge you to read "The Cure for all Cancers" and see what it says about prophyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) I would NOT suggest using this product at all, not even a cleaner, especially people with cancer! There are 2 natural cleaners that are good for you. One is Wild Oregano P73, or wild oregano essential oil, or Hydogen Peroxide.

Elderberry syrup is a specific against influenza/flu. I have made a whole batch for this coming season, because the elder trees are very heavily laden with fruits this year. My personal view is that Mother Nature is sentient - with so many berries on the 'influenza' tree - I read the message that influenza may well be higher this year, so I have prepared for it.

Jason:

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on your article. It is refreshing to see you list Pro and Prebiotics as critical weapons to have in the fight against H1N1 aka Swine Flu.

When I speak to friends, family and customers about prebiotics I hear comments such as "oh yeah, I've heard of probiotics.." or "do you mean probiotics?." There is a difference.

Prebiotics are soluble fibers which pass through the stomach unchanged. They nourish the good bacteria in the colon and are beneficial whether you consume a probiotic or not.

Probiotics are living organisms that are susceptible to heat, cold and aging. There are over 2,000 bacterial species in the colon. In addition bacteria in the colon is in the many trillions.

To get the greatest health benefit from a prebiotic supplement it is important to consume a full spectrum oligofructose enriched inulin (OEI) product. There are several inulin products available. A full spectrum OEI product nourishes the entire colon, not just a portion.

I would encourage your readers interested in more information to visit www.prebiotin.com. There they can learn more about Prebiotin and the many benefits a full spectrum OEI offers.

Thanks again for a great topic.

Best regards,

From a company point of view I'd add the need to inform your employees of the need for 'respiratory etiquette', ie using tissues, cleaning hands etc. I've been looking for some decent posters and signs to push home the need for increased hygiene in the workplace. Best I've found so far is a company called leosignage who I bought some great flu specific signs from.

Jason,
In the Middle Ages, during the times of the plague, robbers would be stealing from people, alive and dead and they did not get the plague.
It was discovered that they used certain essential oils which Dr. Gary Young of Young Living has incorporated into his blend called "THIEVES".
We have the natural means to protect ourselves from any disease.

Very informative and I will pass the information to my co-workers. When you have one person in the office sick and they come in, it passes on and on.

I read the list of "must haves". I want to spread a word of warning of over using antibacterial soap. It's shown that not only does regular soap work just as well..but that your body can build up a tolerance for antibacterial soap..and cause these viruses to become stronger. When teaching, it was sad to see how frequently that waterless soap is used as well...not so natural stuff..and these kids are lathering their hand up before lunch and in between.

Hi Jason,

Hope you are well just read latest article on 5 ways to fight swine flu and found it interesting having been involved in Healthcare for a number of years l carried out barrier nursing when we had an outbreak of RSA and it is very much along the same lines. I am neither an expert or could give you the precise details of how to combat this outbreak, but to ward off symptoms and protect the blood garlic is great as is live yoghurt for the gut. I am not a man that believes in taking pills for no reason but l agree with acetaminophen pills for fever but plenty of water is an essential to not dry out, as fever can grab hold easier. Other than that as the doctors say on their so-called help lines keep away from the surgery and phone the NHS Swine Flu helpline, great is it not, when you are ill.

Anyway more soon and will add this to our organisations blog as usual at http://adamchristianenterprisesuk.blogspot.com/ and thanks. Regards Ian
