Jason,
great article! In particular I try to go with the higher cacao and lower sugar bars. Even better are ones that are sweetened with Agave, so that you can avoid refined sugar altogether, as well as chemical sweeteners. One to try is by Gnossis. It's there Simplicity Bar--organic like their whole line, but sweetened with Agave (others are sweetened with Honey, also great!) so it's also Vegan.
Go to www.savorique to check it out.

Interesting article. The only thing I don't understand is why they bothered with white chocolate since white chocolate isn't chocolate at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_chocolate
What brand(s) of organic chocolate do you purchase?

Hey, this is a great article--very informative. It's too bad that so many people don't know about the terrific health benefits of chocolate. If they did they might be more inclined to purchase the higher end dark chocolate bar over the preservatives, GMO-filled, fatty Snickers bar. We here at Endangered Species Chocolate are constantly trying to educate people on the health benefits of dark chocolate, and love to see it when others are doing the same. Jason, we salute your passion for healthy organic food and the fact that you are actively spreading the word about how great it is. Now, for a little shameless self-promotion...Endangered Species Chocolate is 100% ethically traded, which mean we do more than simply pay a fair market price for our cocoa, but are actively working to improve the lives of our cocoa farmers and their families. We do this by installing water pumps and filtration systems as well as donating school and medical supplies. Additionally, we donate 10% of our annual net profits to charities who support species, habitat and humanity. This year we have teamed up with the African Wildlife Federation and the Ocean Conservancy.
Alright, enough with that. Jason, we admire your work and hope you continue to make a difference. The world needs more people out there believing in organic and all-natural foods. If we don't take a stand we will eventually be over run with GMO-filled foods. If you would like more information about Endangered Species Chocolate’s mission or our premium chocolate products please visit us online at www.chocolatebar.com or email us at community@chocolatebar.com. As always…Savor Chocolate. Save Our Planet.
