I like the Rooibos/Honeybush tea blend from Mundi teas. It is simply delicious and contains the health properties of both organic teas. Yummy!

Honeybush doesn't actually contain aspalathin; that polyphenol is unique to rooibos. Rooibos and honeybush are commonly lumped together because they have a similar taste, appearance, and are both from South Africa, but they are two completely different species. They both have many of the same health effects, however, and both are very good for you.

I like the green varieties of both. Green rooibos tastes like green tea without so much of the grassy flavor and none of the astringency, while green honeybush is very aromatic, tasting rather fruity. I've only been able to find green honeybush tea at Upton Teas, but green rooibos is available from a lot of online tea stores.

The cool thing about honeybush is that its like rooibos without the astringency. It still has aspathin which helps reduce fat and other great flavanoids but tea honeybush I get from Art of Tea is Organic Honeybush and I notice a difference between that and the store brand stuff.

Have you tried Tulsi Tea?

Has anyone tried this? It's about 7,100 year old remedy from the Vedas. It's reported to have remarkable healing qualities. I haven't personally tried it, Chris Gussa sells it, and consumes it daily and says it is absolutely fantastic and imparts an overall sense of well being, relaxation, and healing.

It has a huge list of beneficial effects, and is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and other properties.

Swanson's Vitamins sells it cheap.

I love Honeybush tea too! I was first introduced to Honeybush tea in 2007 and was very impressed with its delicious flavor and was inspired to write about it on my old blog - http://www.naturallivingcuisine.com/2007/09/21/red-green-rooibos-red-espresso/

Ironically, I had a cup of Rooibos tea yesterday evening and this morning. Adding organic mint leaves so so good. Yum! Thanks for this write-up. :-)
