(OrganicJar) Raw, certified organic milk is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. It’s a wonderful source of protein and calcium, the fat in it is perfectly acceptable, and it tastes wonderful (one of my favorite foods).
It’s loaded and alive with fully active enzymes, a broad spectrum of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus, all 22 essential amino acids, 18 good fatty acids, metabolically available vitamins, immunoglobulins, minerals, antioxidants, and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid). Raw milk is never damaged or changed by pasteurization, homogenization, or other processing. Because of this, those good bacteria, along with the extremely beneficial enzymes aren’t destroyed.
Raw milk virtually always comes from grass-fed cows, on organic pasture land, and never fed GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) of any kind.. There milk contains higher levels of cancer-fighting CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and will be richer in all the vitamins and minerals mentioned above. Vitally important nutrients like vitamin A and D are highest in milk from cows eating green grass. And the healthy enzymes contained in raw milk help the body assimilate all those great nutrients, including calcium. What many people don’t realize is that enzymes are a critical component in recovering from disease and establishing and maintaining health. A disease free life: a life with optimal health starts with a strong immune system and raw milk is the finest immune system support food available.
I personally have been drinking raw milk for about 8 months and it’s one of my favorite foods. At first, I was skeptical just like everyone else. Would I get sick? What about the fat and cholesterol content? What I came to realize, is that I was just uninformed about raw milk. The first thing I noticed was the incredible taste. The second thing was just like every other product, there is an expiration date stamped on it so you know how long it will last. I have become more convinced than ever of the value and importance of raw milk.
Raw Organic milk is hard to find, only a couple of states sell it (California is one). But more and more people are turning to small farms and collectives. I have listed a great source below for locating real, raw, organic, certified milk in your area. Also, my favorite company Organic Pastures allows you to order online and they will ship it to you.
